This is a kit of a female socket. The socket is marine grade and is weather resistant, the socket opening is sealed with a cap and the wire terminals are covered with a straight boot. The contacts are nickel plated. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1 1/8″ hole for mounting and has .250 quick male connectors.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter accessory plug or locking marine plug. A locking plug looks like a regular male lighter plug but when twisted in this socket can not be pulled out easily, unless twisted again.
