This is a kit of one female socket with cap, vinyl cover/boot, 60 in./5 ft. harness also known as a loom and ATC fuse holder and 15 amp fuse.
The socket is marine grade and is weather resistant with the sealing cap and contact boot. The contacts are nickel plated brass. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1 1/8″ hole for mounting and has .250 quick male connectors. It can be mounted against a panel up to 1-1/4″ thick or mounting bracket with the retaining nut. Rated for 15 amps peak at 12 volts. Draws no power when not in use, so it can’t run down your battery.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter plug or lockable marine plug. Check our other listing if you need a socket mount or a locking plug. A locking plug locks into the socket with a quarter turn twist and can’t be pulled out. It also becomes weather proof and vibration resistant.
The wire harness or loom is 60 inches, has female quick connects to plug into the socket, 1/4″ ring connectors to attach to your battery or terminal block and a waterproof automtive type fuse holder and fuse. Easy to hook up with red for positive and black for negative.
