This is a kit of a female DIN / BMW powerlet socket that has a front sealing cap and a rear protective wire terminal boot, and a aluminum handlebar or rail mount.
The socket is heavy nylon plastic grade and is weather resistant with sealing cap and terminal boot. The contacts are brass/ copper. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1-1/8″ hole for mounting and has .250 quick male connectors. The socket is rated at 12 volts, for 15 amps. Draws no power when not in use, so it can’t run down your battery.
The mount is of UV rubber and can be used with 7/8″ to 1″ rail or handlebar tubing.
The socket works with any standard DIN/Hella/BMW powerlet plug. (Plugs shown in this listing are not included only the socket, mount and boot.)
