This is listing is for one (1) high quality female socket. The socket is marine grade and is weather and UV resistant. The contacts are nickel plated brass and the socket body is heavy guage. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. The socket has a waterproof tight fitting sealing cap on a flexible strap. Rubber mounting washer seals the panel opening and improves the assemblies vibration resistance. The socket has two female 0.250 male spade type terminals that are marked (+) and minus (-) for easy identification. The socket is rated for 15 amps (20 amps peak) at 12 volts. Draws no power when not in use, so it can’t run down your battery.
It requires an 1 1/8″ hole for mounting and has .250 quick spade type male connectors. It can be mounted against a panel with the retaining nut on panels up to 1-1/4″ thick.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter plug or lockable marine plug. Check our other listings if you need a locking plug. A locking plug looks like a regular male lighter plug but when twisted in this socket can not be pulled out easily, unless twisted again. It is then weather resistant and vibration proof.
Not for hot cigarette lighter use.
