Battery life is reduced when the battery discharge goes below 50% of charge. Often when using a 12 volt battery, the battery can become fully discharged. While the battery can be recharged the life of the battery is greatly reduced. You can extending the life of your battery by charging when the battery not fully depleted. Unless you are constantly monitoring the voltage level you will not know when to start the charge. Most Sump pump deep cycle batteries style batteries must be recharged when discharged to the minimum level of 50%. If the battery is left to discharge beyond that point, its power capacity is permanently reduce shortening the life of the battery. If the battery is left to fully discharge, when stored for a prolonged period or excessively drained, the battery can be ruined. Even if your battery is under constant charger a failed charger or end of battery life condition can occur.

This wired 12 volt battery monitor panel prevents that condition measuring the battery voltage and alarming when the low voltage point is reached. It is ready to install, comes with instructions. Alarms when battery voltage drops to the minimum voltage level, the point when the battery must be recharged to prevent permanent damage. An illuminated mute button silences the alarm while maintaining the visual indication.

A three position switch allows you to turn the monitor on and off while the voltmeter continues to monitor the state of the battery. The built in high pitch tonal alarm and a red warning LED alerts you to the low battery condition. The push on push off mute button turns the alarm off. The alarm condition is reset when the battery is plugged into the charger and the voltage is restored. Comes with a waterproof fused cable.

Switch position I – Voltage monitor alarm active. Voltmeter off (Reduced power consumption position).

Switch position 0 – All off

Switch position II– Voltage monitor alarm active, Voltmeter display on.

This pre-wired assembly consists of a built in battery voltage monitoring circuit board, a high quality voltmeter for checking the voltage level of your battery, built in tonal alarm and red indicator, and a three position waterproof switch to control the panel.

The panel monitors your battery when the voltage drops to 12.0 volts the alarm goes off telling you to charger your battery before permanent damage is done to your battery in the low discharge state.
