Also includes a straight vinyl wire boot to protect the wire terminal connections from water and weather. This makes the socket even more resistant to the environment for more reliable operation.
When looking into the socket it will glow blue to indicate the availability of power. Tells that the the fuse is good and that the socket is active.
This is a female illuminated socket assembly. The socket is marine grade and is weather and UV resistant. The front cap seal the socket opening and the boot protects the terminals. The contacts are nickel plated and the socket body is a heavy gauge glass but light in weight filled plastic. There is a built in blue LED that glows in the interior of the socket. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1 1/8″ hole for mounting and has .250 quick male spade type connectors, included are the matching two female connectors. Rated 15 amps at 12 volts DC. Weight 1.1oz.
It can be mounted in two ways, against a panel with the retaining nut for panels up to 1-1/4″ thickor for a thicker panel. Works with any standard cigarette lighter plug.
