This is a highest quality female socket kit The socket is marine grade and is weather and UV resistant. The cap seals the front of the socket, should water get in, the socket is self bailing. The body is heavy plastic for strength and lightweight. The contacts are nickel plated over brass. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. rubber sealing washer makes for a waterproof seal. It requires an 1 1/8″ hole for mounting and has .250 quick male spade type quick connectors. Rated at 12 volts for 15 amps. Weight 1oz. This socket draws no power when not in use so it can’t run your battery down.
It can be mounted in two ways, against a panel with the retaining nut for panels up to 1-1/4″ thick.
