This is a kit of one female socket with cap, straight vinyl cover/boot, and 60 in. fused wiring harness also known as a loom.
The socket is marine grade and made of a heavy nylon plastic. It is very weather resistant with the sealing socket opening cap and the slip-on contact boot. The contacts are nickel plated over brass. The socket is vibration resistant, unlike less expensive versions. It requires an 1-1/8″ hole for mounting and has .250 quick male connectors. It can be mounted against a panel or mounting bracket with the retaining nut up to 1-1/4″ thick or to thicker surfaces with the compression plate provided. Rated at 15amps at 12 volts DC.
Works with any standard cigarette lighter plug or lockable marine plug. Check our other listing if you need a locking plug (A locking plug locks into the socket with a quarter turn twist and can’t be pulled out. It also becomes weatherproof and vibration resistant.)
The wire harness or loom is 60 inches, has female quick connects to plug into the socket, ring connectors to attach to your battery and a automotive style blade waterproof fuse holder and a fuse for 15 Amps.
